The Teesside-based football club is delighted to welcome the steel forming and profiling specialists on board, with further details about the partnership to be revealed in the coming weeks.
Steel Benders UK is the largest steel bending company in the North-East, specialising in forming steel sections into specific shapes.
The Middlesbrough-based company, which is in the process of moving to Hartlepool, provide a range of services including press braking, plate rolling and tube bending for various industries like renewable energy, marine, and construction.
“We are investing in the local community, and that is important to us at Steel Benders UK,” said Phil Anderson Operations Director at Steel Benders UK.
“This isn’t just about football, we are also keen to help a community thrive, and Thornaby FC is hugely important to that particular town and area.”
Phil highlighted the significance of their new partnership with a semi-professional team, having previously sponsored only grassroots football.
He said: “There are exciting new challenges ahead for Thornaby FC, and we are looking forward to being part of the journey, with the men’s and women’s teams succeeding, developing and the club looking to grow.
“We will go down there for a few games, and we are looking forward to enjoying the action.”
Thornaby are excited about the new collaboration with the men’s team competing in the ebac Northern League Division One and the women due to start life in the North-East Regional Women’s League this season.
