Thornaby Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of defender Mitch Parkinson on a month-long loan deal from Redcar Athletic.
Standing at an imposing 6’7″, the young defender arrives at Teesdale Park looking to make an immediate impact. Known for being strong and aggressive in both boxes, Parkinson combines his physical presence with a composure on the ball that fits perfectly into the squad’s style of play.
Mitch recently spent time on trial with Blackburn Rovers, highlighting the high potential and quality he brings to the backline. His arrival provides managers Kas and Skelly with a significant new dimension and additional depth in defensive rotations during a busy period of the season.
Manager’s Perspective
Commenting on the new arrival, Craig Skelton noted:
“Mitch is a 6 foot 7 young lad who is strong and aggressive in both boxes. He’s very comfortable on the ball and will add some vital defensive options for us. Having recently been on trial at Blackburn, his quality is clear, and we are looking forward to seeing him in a Thornaby shirt.”
Everyone at Thornaby FC would like to extend a warm welcome to Mitch and wishes him the very best of luck during his time with the Blues.
